I associate this style with soulless marketing campaigns. Thanks, marketing, for destroying language for me.

How "Operation Choke Point" is not a critical flow of the underlying system? I care about civil rights way more than I care about NK.

Scenario one. Individual (while working in a startup) is receiving some tokens as a compensation. Time passes. Their remuneration being on-chain and visible is a problem when negotiating salary in the next job. Scenario two. I want to have

With our current state of cybersecurity (total shambles), we worry about NK stealing rather modest amounts of money. While relying exclusively on cybersecurity to prevent SkyNet scenario. Fun times.

AFAIK they were using Signal with auto-delete turned on. If true, this is a great way to avoid auditability.

Broken window fallacy. Doing the same things cheaper is good. SLA is a disgrace.

You haven't addressed anything I've said. What they are working on? Definitely not privacy nor smart-contracts.

Working on what? Smart-contracts? Privacy? The only thing Bitcoin has going is LN, but even than, it will not succeed - simply because a better alternatives exist.

Nah, Bitcoin was a thing. But it is an intellectually dead. And without the network the asset itself is barely a thing.

And yet Drew hasn't made an exemption for Ethereum, which does not do proof of work.

Just guessing, but that seems to imply two possibilities. One containing colors that can't be implemented - no such pigments / ink / chemicals exist. And other one describing actual inks and their behavior - which sounds like

You are mistaking two different types of consensus. Social one: we are running this software, which encodes particular rules; we have a roadmap; we are sharing similar values. Technical one: transaction A came before transaction B. Proof of

PoW is worse w.r.t power concentration. PoW is just PoS with additional steps. Such as having connections with energy providers, being able to buy newest bitmain ASICs early, etc.

It is as easy as finding a duplicate signature. And while it takes some computational power (pennies comparing to PoW), you need just one watcher to guarantee that chain will remain honest. So, 1 honest person out of n. Almost as good as it

What centralization? Adherence to protocol rules? How requirement of locking down 32ETH is different from requirement to run ASIC that does two rounds of SHA256? Please don't throw around buzzwords.

You both are wrong. From database point of view blockchains are multi-master, AP system with open set of masters (writers). The name of the game is censorship resistance. If some writers censor, I can pay non-censoring writer to include my
