American here. We started with the group theory and vector space approach, though the group theory was fairly limited to just enough for vector spaces as there was a separate set of algebra classes. It's not universal.

Is there any work on long-term implantable technology? Not necessarily cranial, just in general as a precursor. As far as I'm aware, the body eventually rejects or forms limiting scar tissue around pretty much all foreign bodies, with

There was a recent article on having your website be entirely statically regenerated except for a select few components that require interactivity: shopping carts, comments, etc. That way, your entire site is basically live just on a CDN, i

An XPS 13 isn't a high end laptop? What are you doing that requires that kind of power? It sounds like an amazing build, but definitely not needed for most tasks. The XPS 13 seems a little wasteful in the setup. You could practically d

Static linking is more ergonomic for developers. Dynamic linking is a better use of user resources, which is sort of ergonomics. To say one metric should be king without context is missing the point.

Both are relevant. To their point, each additional maintainer is also a hidden dependency of each package, so the number of packages is relevant.

I don't think the position of the language teams is that static linking is better than dynamic linking. I think that static linking is a significantly easier target for a relatively new language whose _novel_ features make it difficult

Yes, that was their intent. But the over-lawyer-ification and impracticality of opting out of corporate terms of service is an widespread problem. This is an interesting expansion of that problem, so it deserves highlighting.
