Ultimately, I think thisnis going to come down to preference. I would prefer not to have to fix 20 constructors. It's tedious and time consuming. The intermediate classes that _do technically depend on FooService because BarService doe

Replacing DI with Free Monads is not what I'd call simple. It's not even possible in a type safe way in most(?) languages.

My point was about ignorance in general, not specifically flat earthers.

I imagine that is because Go is not used for applications of the same breadth as Java. Go is typically structured with many relatively small binaries. Each binary can be relatively self-contained. The way I've seen Java used, it typica

> Just call `new` yourself, instead of having the framework do it for you. But at that point, why would I want to? There are reasons I wouldn't want to, but there is no inherent value, to me, in manually calling new.

As someone who hated Java, used it for a few years, and now occasionally misses it... I only miss DI. I miss being able to say "this system depends on these external things" and having a consistent, convenient way of sharing/

From a programming language design space, it's much more like C++. However it can occupy some niches that C can but C++ does poorly because of zero cost abstractions, I think. (Very handwavy)

Perhaps I've only had to deal with sane Java codebases - I feel like magic is not the norm in Java. Magic is built into the Ruby language, what with everything being "message passing" under the hood.

I think Ruby might be the antithesis to Java. For all that I despise Java's ridiculous boiler plate, I always know exactly what's going on. In Ruby, I feel like there are unknowns in every file. I hate Java, but Ruby makes me miss

AGI is orders of magnitude more complex than the toys we're playing with in machine learning today. It's like building a factory and then expecting factories that build themselves to be right around the corner. They're just s

Gah, I'm finally giving OSMC another try this year (tuned downstream distro of Kodi). Honestly, the biggest problem is I probably need to organize my NFS so the dang indexing works. That was always the biggest problem I had in the past

It does not imply one to one or onto. Unique pair (a, b) only implies for any a, the corresponding b is unambiguous. There could easily be (a1, b) and (a2, b), thus not one to one, and there could easily be a b1 such that there is no corres

Nobody is against on-shore manufacturing and the infrastructure bill will probably assist in the construction of this, not to mention gov private business subsidies being a massive point of hypocrisy for the GOP.
