Now when people write the time in the format 9:00 EST you can smugly correct them that it should always be EDT (for Eastern time zone).

>Isn't that just changing the time zone and abolishing daylight savings? Yes but the clocks will now say EDT instead of EST (in the Eastern time zone for example). We will forever know that we have saved the daylight.

It might be the scale that’s important though. An energy consumption map would be similar to population density but the scale probably changes over time (more energy efficient devices, etc). Also it would be interesting to see outliers - wh

Agree that we’re getting better at treating it. You seem to be praising those treatments and not wanting to get the vaccine. I don’t understand the idea that medicine that prevents the disease is bad but medicine after the disease is ok?

Why four phases? Why not 3 or 10? You can divide the month up any number of ways to create “weeks”. The Romans had 8-day “weeks” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nundinae

You don’t make money having a debt. You’re still accruing interest to pay. I think another way to think about it is that the lender is not making a profit when inflation is factored in. It’s a bad deal for them and a good deal for you. Addi
