Note the UK government, who are incredibly slow and incompetent, reacted within hours to the news breaking with a travel ban from six countries the variant has been identified in. That speed of reaction makes me think there’s something to t

People don't want to deal with an Ebenezer Scrooge saying "bah humbug" after a year of lockdowns and not seeing families. Interesting topic but maybe one for after the holidays. Cool robots in your bio :)

First thanksgiving in the US. My wife and I have stocked up on some of the worst looking pre-made things from Safeway to easily make tomorrow so neither of us have to cook. Excited to have a long weekend :) Enjoy yours too!

I think you're overthinking this. TypeScript definitely helps catch issues - there have been large migrations to TS that were well received by engineers and project managers alike. Yes there are issues in the type system but you can fi

This guy always writes such negative posts about crypto while working on his own centralized digital treasury settlement system https://github.com/adjoint-io - the exact thing crypto threatens.

I'm on a J2 and think I can progress onto another one if I decide to stay in a couple years (via a work sponsorship). Saying this, Green Cards are obviously crazy difficult to get without already living in the US for years and O-1 visa

I think Web3 is just a term that something will change the web. Semantic web used it first, there's the whole AI/VR Web3 movement, there's crypto, etc...

I'm looking at it through another lens - a way to improve my intermediate haskell and learn about HDL. Maybe they're pushing for commercial use but there are alternative reasons to be interested in this too!

I think there's a gap between running tests without "defined starting and ending states" and chaos engineering. This would be closer to exploratory testing for me, however rather than having a QA team run them you're out
