For something as important and simple as voting, I'd think we could develop an unhackable, fully open-source, formally verified voting system...?

Citations needed. As others have pointed out this is not a comparison of optimized Dyalog APL with C. This is a comparison of Dyalog APL with a pre-built command-line tool with unknown optimizations.

Haskell syntax is great except for the indentation/layout rules. There is no simple definition of the grammar with regards to the layout. It's only specified as a headache-inducting operation of a state machine [1], and the implem

Mental health and substance abuse issues don't spontaneously emerge on their own. Lack of money, housing, personal life, etc. are huge contributing causes.

When you buy a closed device that you can only partially control this is what you sign up for. The only reason this can happen is because the people who this affects, materially support Apple in their ability to do this. Play stupid games w

That doesn't seem like as big of a problem, because you, as the user of an open source library, can take steps to prevent such things from affecting you. Most places I've worked at have their own repos with copies of any maven

A lot of things affect people's interest in a project. RMS being the original creator of GNU is definitely a big plus towards interest in hearing him speak. I don't see anyone who would be a better fit. Furthermore leading GNU is

That would kinda defeat the purpose of this 'Node-GUI' project. [EDIT] This project literally brings Node/JS/CSS on top of Qt - Node-GUI without Node/JS is, you guessed it - Qt.
