That's my assessment. By threatening and targeting bystanders, Iran tries to make any military action against them costly to those not involved, who will naturally apply pressure to whomever is taking the action.

I have loved my journeys through Germany in recent years; locals are more than willing to speak English to you and are happy to direct you around. This does hit home though: I did miss an international flight due to the S-Bahn out of Munich

Shooting down $40k drones with $4mil interceptors is a problem. Hoping at some point this wake up call is heard. One recent update is that Apache Attack helicopters are being refitted to hunt/kill these types of drones, but the newest

The laptop segment is a poor example. Apple is the only company mass producing high performance arm laptops with a completely custom os that integrates to the hardware. You take what you can get. Your choices are: run windows (lol), or linu

Honestly we peaked at Hardware U2F keys. Passkeys were a step backwards. They were secure, scalable, and they were simple to explain to my parents ("This is a physical key for your email account; like your front door key").

Brother in law did some "time with the brass" as he calls it. His take was that the DOD, er DOW would, as an example, never acquire a fighter jet that "wouldn't target and kill a civilian airliner", citing that on 9

I always use fixed point decimals for accounting. Floating points are approximations of decimals, which is the exact opposite what you want while accounting. Useful for say, simulating aerodynamics or weather, not useful for precision tasks

Why this is a big deal: Right now the only way to make "bright" EUV (100-200 watts) is to spray fine drops of a metal in a stream, then target and blast each drop with a laser. pretty wild way to make light.
