Seems I should've refreshed before posting (now deleted)! As you can see from the plugin file, applying the maps isn't all that complicated, though it certainly would be nice to have it built in. I'm not an emacs user, but I seem to recall

I agree with the author that turning syntax off is like reading a book. When I read in English, I don't want to be bombarded with color or style changes that aren't completely necessary. I appreciate their function as an aid to recognizing

It should be noted that it is not considered the most factual account of any of the mathematicians it profiles, but rather a dramatic retelling of anecdotes and "hollywood gossip" [1]. That being said, it is certainly an entertaining re

I bought the first generation MacBook Pro, a 17", for that reason. Other resolutions were just too small for what I was doing, and 1680 seemed like just enough. Eventually when they started offering the resolution upgrades on 15" models I u

Honestly, this is the main reason I always have a tab open to HN. There are so many items on here that I know I don't have the time to look into immediately but will return to, and having them saved just by upvoting feels really good. I ver

Same situation here as well. I started with eventual distribution in mind (yet another Japanese study app) but it's still a long way away from being what I'd consider releasable. Too many features coded in that I forced myself to try out an

Oh, I wasn't necessarily agreeing wholeheartedly with the comparison, just that some of the things we take for granted on HN aren't so simple or ubiquitous as they can be made out to be by people who know what they're doing.
