That's a very astute observation. I read Norwegian Wood first, but that is so different from most his other works and I didn't love it. I don't remember which one I read after that, but I got hooked around the 2nd or the 3rd.

He put it beautifully. However, if you assume that people are smarter than you, that could lead to you listening to them more than you should, holding back in voicing concerns and sharing opinions that seem right and important to you.

It seems it's a good thing I made a resolution to really grok JavaScript during 2015. Also, sad to see Ruby usage go down. It's my day-to-day language. But then again, it's just a language/tool.
