We do both, but it's still very tideous. After a while the dynamic analysis only caught false postives (something on the stack looked like a pointer). The static analysis had to be updated when new potential hazardous cases became obvi

I think we imported that code around 2010 and heavily modified it. We are also planning to use Chrome's sandboxing code for Windows.

No. We however had several ideas over the years to cache bytecode together with the JavaScript code. But that never really went anywhere. Caching JIT-code is difficult, because addresses (like jumps) change unless you malloc at the exact sa

From what I gathered (ie. talking to mraleph) v8 is mostly just Google employees. I can't speak about Chromium. The contributor situation is not vastly different for SpiderMonkey or JSC. I am usually the only contributor, besides 1-3 others

Nothing, at least not to the benchmarks currently on awfy. You need to opt-in into OdinMonkey optimizations with "use asm". And of course these benchmarks don't do it.

If you have any specific test case like a website or certain operation, please file a bug so we can look at the issue. Otherwise a profile reset and a test in safe-mode is always a good idea.
