Maybe, the USA's governance system seems to be malfunctioning. The 6 month gap in supply to Ukraine has made all of the USA's defense partners around the world, (eg. asia pacific) go "what the fuck!?! The USA doesnt actually

They're always going to have to maintain a good build of Windows for enterprise customers. Also LTSC 2019 will be supported until 2029. The newer LTSC 2022 has the the 2027 eol. They slashed the support time for the new LTSC from 1

Windows 10 LTSC is the actual good version of Windows. Honestly it's one of my favourite OSes. Since MS don't sell it to regular people, it behooves one to pirate it.

Self driving is a very difficult (and expensive to develop) engineering challenge.. I think it might end up being cheaper (and thus more likely) that the "solution" will be a legal one rather than an engineering one: Self driving

Yeah there was a PR big and legal campaign in the 20's from the auto industry to promulgate the idea of jaywalking and take the streets from the people.

This an example of the worst possible UX imo. There is literally zero affordances or discoverability for those gestures. Smartphones in general tend to completely ignore the fundaments of human interface design.

Hi Peter, I have a young friend in Russia who is a computer / programming prodigy. I'm trying to help him get out of Russia by getting a tech job in any other country. He's only 18 atm though. Can you give me any advice? I&#x

I actually agree. I dont think art needs to be supported. Not that I'm against it or anything, it simply doesnt need support imo. As long as there are humans around, they will be creating great art on a regular basis, it's just

Question: Who is the actual brain at SpaceX?? They must have at least one mega-genius level engineer / project manager with a lot of authority to have progressed so far.

by everyone 3y ago
Even if he does, I think SpaceX's success has spurred the creation of some competitors / imitators, perhaps with more sane CEOs. .. I love "Stokes Space" design for example... https://youtu.be/EY8nbSwjtEY

I do know that one theory of how asbestos is carcinogenic is that it is so fine it just saws away at the actual DNA molecules. However asbestos works, it does seem that those fine nano-particles could act similarly https://youtu.

The images remind of me the "fines" mentioned in KSR's Mars trilogy. Apparently the surface of Mars is covered in very fine particles 1000's of times smaller than grains of sand. Earth is too wet for particles like that

The title gave me a weird idea... Photosynthesising plants dont convert the entire spectrum of light to energy. What if u had a filter that turned all the sunlight into the wavelength that the plant uses, could u get more food from the same

For me one of the biggest draws of file-sharing is that I find it so easy. The streaming service way would involve finding where the show is, accounts, credentials, godawful UI, ads, spam, potential malware,+ many other constantly changing
