We are in the process of doing something similar. My wife watches a lot of Netflix so we will be keeping that (for now). But between us there is only a single product on Google TV we watch regularly and it is going from 5 days a week to 1.

I have the ability to pop into w3m from lynx[0] to view tables when necessary. I also have the option to call the x-www-browser script from lynx for the full graphical/js/css treatment, such as posting this comment from my account
