It is also conceivable that it becomes the new normal and we slide further into our dystopian capitalist future.

I'm reminded of a passage about the "Professional Smile" from a David Foster Wallace essay: You know this smile, the strenuous contraction of circumoral fascia w/ incomplete zygomatic involvement – the smile that does

Well, not exactly. That would only work if your address was registered as foobar@gmail.com but not if it was registered as foo@gmail.com. Essentially, periods don't matter in gmail addresses. Adding a . in between any of the characters

Ah, good point, my mistake. And yeah, definitely agreed regarding voter hesitancy to elect someone his age. It does seem like Trump has probably broken the mold permanently, in terms of the type of background one needs to become president.

I actually get the impression he's got the presidency on his mind as well but he won't be running in 2020. Even if he wanted to, he won't be old enough.

Well, for me, once I reach the payment screen and have the option of pulling out my wallet and typing in my card information vs simply entering my PayPal credentials, which I have memorized, it's any easy choice.

The internals aren't really upgraded though since I got the 3.1ghz i7 and 16gb memory. I've never once thought it to be heavy. And even if I agreed with those two points, it wouldn't be worth the loss of the ports.

Less than two weeks ago I bought a 13-inch retina MBP with a 3.1GHZ i7 and 16GB RAM for $1,799 [0]. I was expecting that the update would make me wish I'd have waited but nope. Would buy the same one I currently have again, if given th

Another example that comes to mind is Apple's stock Podcasts app. The buttons to skip 15 seconds forward/backward have been removed from the interface (visually anyway) but still work if you press where the icons used to be.
