It's a bit heavy handed, but I believe the rules are more like best practices. If you're fixing typos in new code I see no reason to have the history of introducing the typo and then fixing it. If you've come across a typo in

Hah, I must admit I thought you meant that you preferred squashing! Agree 100% that a huge number of small commits are easier to find bugs in than a small number of huge commits.

You'll have to elaborate with specifics because in my experience it doesn't matter if there's 100 or 10000 commits - git bisect works great in both instances.

In my experience the squashing crowd is much louder and cares more about squashing than the crowd who prefers to see every commit. I hate squashing, but I've been beaten down into doing it many times because in the end it doesn't

I've said the same about Branson and Virgin Galactic. He's been trying since 2004 to commercialize spaceflight and I don't think they've done anything worth mentioning. It seems to take more than an eccentric rich guy wi

Anecdotally, I have a family member that drinks nearly 4L a day. He gets two 64oz big gulps from 7/11 every day. Not even diet - it's regular Coke.

Wow in that case Brave is going to be in for a real rude awakening when all their users go back to Chrome so they can see consent banners again.

Brave is giving users the ability to automatically say no to your cookie banners. People who use Brave don't want to be tracked and will never consent to it.

The end game is not getting spammed by crap I don't want. I don't want to consent to any tracking and there's no need to ask me.

They're not doing the same thing though! They're doing it on a massively bigger scale and damaging the planet way more today than developed countries did in the past.

Per-person statistics mean literally nothing when we're talking about a global problem that doesn't care about man-made boundaries. edit: to elaborate, if I was allowed to immigrate to China I'd lower my per-capita emissions
