Why do you think, from your experience, it is not a systems programming language?

What is the reason then? (And what has led people to have that perception?)

You must realize that what you're saying is an argument for better targeted ads. If you don't, I don't know how to help you see it.

What a ridiculous argument. I didn't get that fellowship despite the ad, unlike your grandfather who reached an old age despite smoking. I got it thanks to the ad.

Hard to prove that I didn't read a document that is intentionally made publicly available.

One of the things that has had the most profound influence in my life was to apply for and get a fellowship that paid me graduate studies in the US. The only reason I learned of its existence was my mom seeing an ad of it on the newspaper.

How do you verify the output has any relationship whatsoever to what voters input in it?

I haven't claimed anything needing backing up with numbers, only pointed out which statistics are misleading. I'm afraid to read that article you linked in case it contradicts what you said though, so I'll pass.

You can apply that argument to every single discovery, innovation, and development of humankind. Well, maybe not to the discovery of America, as it was sheer dumb luck. But in any case "someone else would have done it eventually"

Who cares how much money they spend on public ads? On the other hand, it's easy to understand why people care about how much money is donated to the campaigns of the politicians that will make these decisions.

Well that's part of it too. "A lower ratio of Android users are willing to pay than for iOS users" is a meaningless statistic for someone that wants to target people with high-end phones willing to pay. Because those ratios r

Accounting for installation numbers only, there are about 6 Android users for each iOS user in the world. So targeting API 25 (Nougat 7.1) already gives you access to a bigger number of users. Targeting earlier API versions only increases t

For gRPC we needed the code to work on all major OS's and had to support a number of different build systems. In no case were the capabilities of the target system manually specified, as that wouldn't have been sustainable. And sp

That's kind of a poor reply. "Sometimes things have unintended consequences". And a link to a book that says that technology alone won't save the environment, more things will be needed.
