of what i know of IE suffers from certain memory leakage issues and that alone makes you write more careful JS code, that is if you are aware of them. So, if you can avoid these and achieve satisfactory functionality between all recent vers

it's not much of being IE centric as to designing an api first and insteaad of losing time on stupid JS/DOM dependancies (things you can fix later for less cost), just get it maybe to most users for whom IE is the internet.

it's funny most people didn't seek perfomance charts than support of Unicode, but this due to the general nature of the audience here in Hacker News, who are mostly web application developers, therefore one of their priorities is multi-lang

The problem with bugs is that the most common ones are already answered and exist decentralized on forums, newsgroups etc, thus making it quite trivial for a centralized placed to take form thus needing a search engine to find the answers.
