So on point. And even when it actually phones 90% of the time I just dodge it. That 10% left is pagerduty. All real contacts use some form of a messaging app instead

Not sure if sarcastic or not. Assuming not. I did find it quite useful for opening a socket for remote tooling (played around withe the continue plugin). The quirky UI did slow me down, but nothing really showstopping

This app could use some simple UI improvements: - The chatbox field has a normal "write here" state, when no chat is really selected. I thought my keyboard broke until I discovered that - I didn't find a way to set cuda accel

Brings back old memory on a AD lab, where our professor was presented with "contact your local administrator" dialog upon closing some simple configuration dialog. He had set-up the AD himself and had no idea where it came from

During my brief venture into 3d graphics I often found that 1 hour of truly creating is spaced between ten hours of fixing up UV's, redoing topology, finding cause for the seam, trying to make a watertight mesh for photon tracing, figh

The interesting to boring scale depends on novelty. Given the ai oversaturation it works exactly as expected. AI Art is currently in very early stage. In the real art space (3d modeling, sculpting, animation, vfx, animation, rigging, retarg

On paper; it checks all the important marks: split, mechanical, has a trackpoint. I wish Keychron added similar (they have great mac/windows switching support; as well as some minor adjustments for some keys)

Upon reading answers, I wonder how much, if any, market is there for VBA only (self bootstrapped?) tools that bring modern development practices into it (version control, testing)

Oh, the way chatGPT took in this assignment is super strange. One, because almost all tutorials start out with "delete the default sphere", which is a multi year old meme at this point. Two, because what you mentioned; there are a

Seems the author found out a way to share screen with chatgpt. I'm guessing probably, it's just sending a screenshot of the screen right after the voice input finished (there are easy ways to recognize pauses) and sending that to

This, so much... I feel a lot of "change" is just a pendulum swinging from one side to another, without true progress at all. Even in the microscale: almost every junior programmer introduced to a legacy system seems to be fightin

I really really would like to believe this could work in practice. Given current data volume used during the training phase (tb/s), I highly doubt it's possible without two, magnitude changing, breakthroughs at once

Yes, but companies will have no incentive to publish open source models anymore. Or, it could be so difficult/beaurocratic no one will bother and keep it close source
