I'm typing this comment atop a 1978 fourth printing of CONNECTIONS I just pulled off my shelf, after seeing this post. A prized possession, found used in rough shape. It was printed in the US, by Little Brown.

I once discovered a botnet running on my Ubuntu system. I always assumed a PPA the culprit. The ip addresses were gazprom, some stuff in China, a ton of others, etc - too long ago to remember details. I also remember when I first started wi

Except that "lack of technical knowledge" will have no effect on the outcome here, nor would an abundance. These thugs are terminally lacking anything of any kind of value, and it hinders them no more than their pallid saggy jowls

Perhaps within the hazy, inextricable mists of jack, pulse and alsa, there's an answer. I remember feeling qualified for a job at NSA after getting midi and my mic to work (effectively) on my Arch (Mint, Ubuntu, Debian, etc) laptops ye

I've been using Debian (Unstable and Testing) for approximately 10 years and have been very satisfied. However, I intend to stray away from the ominous *d soon. FreeBSD interests me, but I've been procrastinating, and of course, t

I confess, I'm waiting for an Xjet/WASP III. Can't help it. I do agree that there is room for improvement, notably with efficiency. Do you have any estimate of the decibel level of the WASP?

I ignorantly wonder (and wander beyond my territory) if zinc has a role here, considering chloroquine's apparent ability to allow it to become intracellular and work thusly against the virus, which it seems to do with co-administrati

+1 More than a week. Confirmed cases are 30 in Florida, presently. But strangely, the map historically indicated much more, then suddenly removed many cases.

Their map is crap though. They indicate the southern US as nearly free of cases. I had initially been viewing it alone, thinking things seemed remarkably fine. Data seems accurate, but don't trust their map.

At a good company, a dispatcher will immediately back off when a driver expresses fatigue or illness. Of course, such can have consequences. What bothers me more than a tyrannical dispatcher, is the bad side of regulations. For example, if

One of the (several) reasons I left OTR was the absurd and erratic wait times at shipping and receiving locations. Federal regulation of a driver's hours compound the problem greatly, but little can be done about that directly. I once

I'll claim no membership among "enthusiasts", but either way, the most glorious lube for me is Ballistol. Good on nearly everything, including that mentioned. To me, since childhood, WD-40 has always had a loathsome aroma. I
