There are entire communities and prominent influencers on every platform specifically dedicated to explaining leftist positions, just as there are on the right. It turns out a lot of people love debating on the internet.

I don't think what looks like abuse changes. I think what abuse we're OK with changes. Domestic abuse was always abuse. It always looked like abuse. We always knew it was abuse. But, for a very, very long time, society was totally

Twitter/X hasn't traditionally been cheaper than other brand-awareness ad spends, and has performed worse. The best argument for Twitter/X was always that the audience size mattered less than the audience influence. This is w

I've got a lot of friends in Portland, and the life they live, and the city described on Fox News, are so vastly different it's almost a comedy.

But the reverse is also true. There are people who think it's bad everywhere, when really, it's bad in a few places.

It's incredibly hard to explain this disconnect to people who haven't lived in high-poverty/high-crime/dense places. Chicago, even the south side, never felt dangerous to me while living there. But here in Texas, people

I tend to treat crime as a trailing indicator of the economy overall. Lower-crime rates correlate with lower unemployment, and vice-versa. Of course, every police department is going to pretend they've developed some novel new crime fi

Google has Bubblwrap, which will take any PWA and create an Android wrapper for you: https://developers.google.com/codelabs/pwa-in-play#0 There are tools like that for iOS too, but you absolutely have to have a Mac.

If iOS reaches 90% market share, I'm sure more companies will push the DOJ to go after Apple to open up iOS more. I don't think Apple would care too much if they were forced to allow other applications to be designated as default

Microsoft didn't get dinged for shipping IE by default. They got dinged because, to promote IE, they engaged in a lot of fairly nefarious things, forcing their OEM partners not to install other browsers, for instance. It wasn't ju

Beeper is not a competitor though. Signal, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, etc. are competitors. Beeper is a free-rider. If you're a grocery store, it's anti-competitive to try and shut down the store down the street. It's not
