You basically can’t use HGNC names in bioinformatics. It’s much better to use identifiers like ESENBML IDs or whatnot.

The last time I was in Germany I noticed explicitly anti-English-language grassroot campaign signs on bus stops. They are definitely worried about losing their language and perhaps the cultural identity it confers. I alternately love and ha

While I understand running VMs are important for you and many developers, people like us who want to do this have to be a miniscule share of Apple's market. I wouldn't bet on them spending much time on it.

What is exactly is being measured in, for example, the R script? The same code running in the same modern version of R on Ubuntu 12 and 18? Or is the R version dating to Ubuntu 12? Or is it contemporaneous for both releases? I really wish t

To turn it around, would you even invest in some fund that offered this vehicle? They would probably lose money and you would not get the promised money back. It would be a risky investment, especially since the upside is small. Chicken and

It seems like your argument strategy is to throw out 10 different ideas. I refute them, then you throw out 10 more. Meanwhile you ignore any evidence I provide. This is not an honest conversation and no evidence is going to change your mind

You misunderstand what mendelian randomization and instrumental variable estimation are. I'm not even sure what the methods you propose are, they're definitely not popular ways to do causal inference in medicine or epidemiology.

Again, this paper does not support what you're saying it does at all. You are either misreading or intentionally distorting what it says. 1) Patients had a baseline cholesterol of 106 mg/dL. So already pretty good control of lipid
