Every time I hear this "Reddit is conservative-biased" I wonder if people are living in the same reality as I am. I just checked /r/all, the first political post is related to the Canadian trucker protest of which suppor

Well, to provide a different case, compare the situation of the US corporate space to the US government. Both are flawed efficiency wise, but boy does the one with no incentives behave as expected.

I don't get this "promotion = leaving". I'm pretty sure there's a very sizable chunk of people leaving because they're stuck.

Fast food is one of those cases where I'm completely happy to get their ads for a similar reason to the poster above. Youtube's non video ads too, though for a completely different reason (I get the oddest ads for spinal implants

Sounds like protectionism when they can't compete. The EU isn't exactly a shining star for tech development, probably because the culture there kneecaps it every step of the way.

A bit of a sidetrack, but that seems like a pretty high number to me. At least in my part of the world, the numbers are at least an order of magnitude lower.

Far from overwhelming. I thought so too, but that's largely from the correlation between poor quality households and use of severe physical abuse, as well as bucketing all corporal punishment from spanking to bashing them with closed f

I remember early on in December 2020? when the first rumblings of some odd disease in wuhan emerged, largely in oddball enclaves like 4chan and some subreddits. In the right wing circles I was familiar with, they did talk about this, and we

So, basically rather than the old culture of free speech, what we have now is: You're free to speak, but as speech is centralized on private platforms, they get to make sure that nobody will ever hear you. This is good (tm). And the Am
