The site (awesomely) says that most of the code powering it is openly available on Github ( https://github.com/ajaxorg/cloud9 ) - out of interest, which parts have you developed separately for your service?

There's also JSNES: http://benfirshman.com/projects/jsnes/ which probably benefits from not stretching to fullscreen.

Out of interest, what Windows version are you running? Adobe hasn't asked me to reboot in quite a long while.

1.1mb multiplied by the number of downloads of Firefox divided by the proportion of people that will use them? I don't think that that sounds like very good value...

Whilst more and more sites are dropping support for it, I'd go out on a limb and claim that IE6 users are disproportionately more likely to require support using a website than others. Great app though.

I'm not sure I've talked to a single Android developer I know, including myself (yes, I talk to myself) that sees fragmentation as a significant difficulty in developing apps. Something to consider whilst developing? Of course (and fundamen

The main thrust seems to be social media / marketing / business development, so Facebook does seem to be very relevant.

My understanding (though as an EU citizen) is that it varies ridiculously from country to country within Schengen. As much as I'd hate to revert to national stereotypes... they're likely accurate ^^ The UK, however, is pretty well known for

I'd imagine that a photographer doesn't have the time to require looking for clients across six continents.

Not necessarily. They'd presumably need to pay the higher price (or some sort of premium) to access the content on their iDevice.

Whilst I agree with my sibling that a button (beyond the generic 'report' link) for this would be good; most cases of hacking are either PEBKAC or a user being very careless with individual password security rather than a fundamental issue

Yes. At the moment they offer several options to verify your identity besides the face recognition thing (I can't recall them precisely, but I'm assuming a standard Captcha and SMS-based verification).

Even if IE9 were in every way superior to Chrome 11 this would still be the case, and it wouldn't really be any the fault of MSFT.

Indeed. I also don't think any clients will accept dropping support for IE6-8, so the IE9 release, whilst nice, will never be a limiting factor in feature support.

I've seen elsewhere it was suggested that whereas humans will want to get used to the question style of each category and learn from each one as they progress to harder answers, Watson has no such issues with jumping straight for high-value

No, but you're implying that DDG either has no plans to make money (which is possible, if rather a short-lived plan) or will remain small enough to be reliant entirely on Gabriel's day job. DDG is a search engine that's using its search to

Awesome app. I've been looking for some small nfc hacking projects, and might look at getting this working properly with Oyster or something (provided I can get my hands on an updated DESfire one rather than my existing Mifare Classic).

Sometimes, whilst DDG's partnerships can be great for getting quality content to the top of search results; it's definitely not the sort of thing I'd want to see a dominant search engine doing. DDG obviously needs to do things differently i
