Ok, how about considering a different demographic: China. IE6 remains by far the most popular desktop web browser in China (Statcounter [1] says 50% of the market). If my site is targetting a Chinese audience, IE6 support is a must and no

Alzheimer's is such a horrible disease. The prognosis for cancer has improved incredibly over the last few decades; it would be nice to see some funding re-prioritised for Alzheimer's.

Genuine question: are these repeats a bad thing? When the articles appear simultaneously it's obviously a pain to have discussion fragmented, but if they're appearing distinctly, is it such a bad thing if people are discovering something ne

For contracts, I think carrier-subsidised handsets are significantly more popular than the cheaper handset-free ones; but both are widely available (a contract of, say, £30/month will be half that price if it excludes the handset). More pop

I doubt I'm the only one that was interested in using AirBNB with their growing traction and successes. No way will that happen now. It's hard to imagine how they could have handled this worse.

That looks like a personalised result, especially with the google.ca underneath. My UK Chrome incognito result has BBC, Wikipedia (World Wide Web), Wikipedia, Facebook and... uhh... Radisson Blu hotels.

The article has been updated with information from Brian Chesky where he clarifies that AirBNB have offered financial compensation and are trying to go "above and beyond".

Well, ignoring the atypical nature of the HN crowd: most people, really. According to the BBC [1] the average (non-startup founding...) person spends 28 hours watching TV per week. That's plenty of time to do play games. [1] http://www.bbc

I don't think it's fair to say it's "yet another FPS". I think that people who only play Indie titles are missing out just as much as those who only play huge AAA releases.
