I just subscribed and... I feel so wary if you aren't asking for my CVV or Billing credentials. Why do banks even allow you to bill without those details using only CC# and Expiry Date? It feels more than a little suspect and weird (though

The way that that quote gets used doesn't make sense to me. Even given that all truth does pass through those three stages, that doesn't mean that something passing through the first two stages is especially likely to be ever accepted as se

This really needs a better source. There's no citation provided, and Wikipedia can't keep any details of his death up without one. Basically, I have a spoonful of salt to hand.

I can't envisage it being released before the first ICS phones hit the market (for relatively obvious reasons), and can easily imagine it taking at least a month from then.

The choppiness in the UI is awful, but it's not solely the result of a lack of hardware acceleration (though it's no doubt a contributing factor). Google have said [1] that it's primarily the result of lots of GC rather than drawing perform

Users signing up in Europe will form a contract with Facebook Ireland Limited, who are registered and operate under EU law. It's not just a legal entity either, there's a pretty sizable engineering and support presence.

One might still wish to benefit from some of the undoubtedly useful aspects of Facebook without needlessly surrendering various rights to their data as enshrined in European law.

It's frustrating how a huge part of the difference between the "feel" of iOS and Android can be attributed to the explicit choice of the platform developers to not render the 2D GUI widgets with hardware acceleration.
