Meh wish it was that simple, this paints at least part of their leadership as completely unhinged: https://chaos.social/@North/115605819126197877 We're only probably seeing part of the whole mess though.

Even so, it was hard to take LTT's attempt at using linux seriously when part of it included Linus bitching about how right clicking a list of files on github and clicking "save link as..." didnt give him a copy of the file.

I doubt it does given the spam filtering has again, been there for 2 decades.

What about them? Gmail 'beat' them years ago thanks to a generous amount of storage on the free tier, hype marketing at launch, and a vastly superior spam filter. Not one part of that was down to AI.

This is the big one for me. I've tried moving away from gmail several times and everyone elses spam filtering has been utterly awful in comparison.

> Today, 3 billion users rely on Gmail to connect and get things done. AI has been a big part of that I highly doubt AI had anything to do with that, and it was more to do with the Gmail service being in use for over 2 decades.

Why would anyone want this? It's got a fairly tiny drive size for this day and age, not to mention it appears to just be a generic aliexpress N150 box thats been branded and had their software pre-installed.

Ditto. The more interesting part is how many people will defend it. Presumably some mix of post-purchase rationalisation and inherited assumptions about what's "standard" even when those assumptions stopped being true ages ag

RISCV is at least a decade, if not two from being useful enough for mainstream adoption. Neither the hardware or software is anywhere close to being ready.

It's already there really. It's heat output on the 4 and more so the 5 benefits from active cooling. The good news is the pi is practically pointless as a product for most people these days, and vastly better options are available

Used mine with a Galaxy S22 for about ~6 months, zero connectivity issues. Also given others also are saying they've had no issues I'd say it's pretty fair to assume this was an isolated problem unrelated to the topic at hand

They've cut some fairly shallow corners, like mono vs color cameras so I imagine getting it within a decent price range has been of high importance. I really doubt it'll be any thing close to $1k.

I think it does also help that a big chunk of Steams userbase are playing smaller indie titles that don't need obscene amounts of vram. The steam deck audience for example has a lot of people playing both a mix of AAA and smaller games
