Not sure they'd need to go as far as removing the IFE completely, but a vastly more simple and cheap system could be used instead. Airlines still rely on those massive clunky boxes under each seat, plus a server rack which adds a fair

Not sure that can be said as a blanket statement for the whole of Europe. In the UK SMS isn't common at all anymore.

I do have to wonder if Copilot will last. It's going to become a legal minefield and I can't imagine for a second that Micrsoft will want to be in the crosshair for another antitrust case.

Hi Ryan, thanks for posting here. So I had something similar happen to the OP a couple of days ago. I'm on friendly terms with a competing codebase's developer and have confirmed the following with them, both mine and it are close

No mater how good Firebase or any of Google's cloud offerings are I could never trust them enough not to just decide to pull the plug one day like they eventually do with every product they launch. They've made themselves untrustw

Probably wasn't helped by Bezoz being a grade a dickhead when Shater was trying to open up to him after they landed.

Requiring you to provide a dedicated parking space would be a non starter in the UK. There's just no land for that. Your dedicated parking space would end up being miles away from your home. The issue as shown in the streetview image i

Many do - and for those of course they can fit a charger. Terrace houses in major cities often do not have any form of allocated parking, it's all on-street. You'd be sued pretty quickly if you dangled a cable across a public foot

I think what makes it worse is the "No, piss off" attitude of their forum team when anyone asks for an update, followed by locking the thread.

The UK for one, and I dare say most of Europe. Our nations are vastly older than the US and were not purpose built for cars. Many here have on street parking, you can't dangle a cable from your house to your car (which may not be outsi

I'd never, ever trust Google with something important. At some point everything closes. That being said Sadias failure was only partially the Google closure effect. It ws a terrible business model. Had they gone down a Gamepass style s

I'd love for someone involved in the USB naming standard to come here and explain why being on coke when deciding on names is a good thing.

In reality its going to be 10+ years and it'll be more than 20k. Thats assuming they actually release it, they seem to be collecting a pretty large list of vaporware right now. Cybertruck and Semi for example which seem to be stuck in

It's pretty hard to get excited for self driving from Tesla. So many of Musk's claims (i.e almost all of them) have turned out to be complete bullshit. They're seemingly still years away from full autonomy, despite him consta

Honeslty I'd rather they just did as minimal programming as possible. Slap an open api on all cars and let carplay/android auto/any other piece of software have access to said api to do as they please. The longevity of in car

This just makes me mad that we never came up with a newer ethernet standard that allowed for smaller ports. I know it creates a ton of compatability problems but its just so unnecesserily huge when you consider its only 8 pins. You could ha
