This never made sense to me, why was this behavior defined this way and why has no browser challenged it? A more rational rule would be something like "only send header if the referer url is http, or if the referer and destination have

Yes, this is standard practice at any major US software company and is part of your employment contract. In some cases it really does make sense, where you have privileged knowledge by working at the company and directly competing publicly

Is it actually better for students that they can't default on their loans? I usually hear it the opposite way, that even after bankruptcy proceedings you still have your student loan debt following you around.

I don't think it is fair to say anything I won't install has no value, I won't install WhatsApp or Snapchat either. Pretty much 0% of all apps that have enough value to raise $1m seed funding provide enough value for me to in

This is a delayed reply, but I really disagree. Flash has (had?) already won. Everyone already has it installed: almost all consumer computers have it installed by default and Chrome runs it without even having the adobe software installed.

Not all internet users are Netflix subscribers. Installing Silverlight is fairly heavyweight, and a lot of people aren't willing to install something like that to watch some random cat video on a random website. The net effect of this
