As someone who is currently forced to use Moodle to build courses, I honestly say I'd rather just build the thing with HTML and Javascript rather than a web-based interface. Speaking of which, what tool would you suggest instead of Moodle?

The "stream" animation is very laggy in Firefox 15, but works fine in IE9, so I guess "In collaboration with IE" is more "optimized for IE"... I kinda like the music though, and the social experiment is nice. I'm assuming the massive spike

There's no mention of it on the video or the page, but it seems safe to presume that there's no support for Windows-based servers? Or am I just missing it?

Finally someone says "Pure CSS" and actually means it! This works well (with a slight stutter) in Firefox 15.

Not what I was expecting from the title but nevertheless, this is something I've been trying to tell my wife for so long now... The advances that we make ever day on this planet are so immense, so life changing, that "life changing" has bec

Flagged for having no value whatsoever. Plus, they didn't even color the "S" in the gamer keyboard... It's WASD, not WAD.

I'm happy to see that someone is not only standing up to PayPal and going another route, but also that a very good alternative is being set forth. It's not just another "Paypal sucks", and I appreciate that.

I personally can't fathom how I could live with a business model that depends on the TOS of other companies. I mean, sure there are markets for these kinds of things, but the risk associated with it scare me shitless.

To me, this is a good example of how not to do an online video-based course. - Staring 2 minutes at HTML code that doesn't move while hearing a disembodied voice is a very bad start. - Detailed, technical information with no visual cues t

I'm very glad to see that this is spreading. It would have been really annoying for Google to perfect their car and then have nowhere to drive it because of silly legislations. It wouldn't be the first time senators were afraid of change...

Perhaps people see "coder" as a larger term encompassing programmers (where "program" would be an application), scripters (things like javascript, php, python) and maybe hackers? I'm not sure.

The video in your blog post makes this murky to understand. First, the screen says "Restart the server to apply any changes". Second, you enable Authy for root, and then restart the server and say "Remember to restart ssh so the new configu

This is great but one thing bugs me. When you add a new user, you have to restart SSH? Wouldn't that prevent people from connecting every time a new user is added?

Huh. Well, in that case, maybe I'll just go to the source and use Fongo then, since that's what Dell Voice uses? No use having an extra layer on top! http://www.fongo.com/

All you need is to have a US IP address to get it working. But, that requires a VPN (which is sometimes expensive) and you`ll always have to go through it to access the Voice service. That most likely means no access from an Android phone t

I'm wondering what prevented them from doing x-rays on the package, or an echography, or something to find out what's inside? I mean, I get that they want to keep the mystery, I just don`t think I'd be able to contain myself for 100 years!

I guess this is one reason I'm lucky and happy to be in Canada: There is a total of 52 weeks of shared parental leave, then there's 2 weeks reserved individually for each parent. The parental leave can be split in any way the parents feel n

Some semi-constructive criticism: - Try to get a video up, or at least a couple of actual screenshots (and not an obviously fake/photoshopped one), so we know a little more about how it looks and reacts. - Give some more information on the

I didn't mean stealing from any particular entity. It was more in a "nabbing" sort of way, a little like saying "The Beatles stole the heart of many of a generation's women". They obviously weren't pulling hearts out of teenagers :)

My first reaction to this was "No... Really???" with an obvious ironic tone. The fact of the matter is, we are a product of our environment and we naturally try to pick up our traits, values, expressions and emotions from everything and eve

Groom them and talk them into coming with them outside the plane, for example. Having been on the receiving end of that stick (not on a plane, but still), I'd ask you reconsider how easy it is for an adult to have power over kids.

Is it not as simple as to add a "Trash" function? It's been around on operating systems for years, everyone understands how it works and that you can restore something from the trash, but you lose it forever if you empty the trash. Since th

In a sense, this goes in line with "release early, release often". I get that it's a big step to actually release a software or service, but the more you wait, the more you risk actually defining the product too much, or missing the boat co
