A re-creation of the classic Windows 3D "Pipes" screensaver, written entirely by Claude 3.5 Sonnet over many iterations! (full disclosure - I work at Anthropic) This was an experiment to try to generate a medium sized (240 line) p

It says 5x the free tier usage, but I agree we could be more explicit about what that is. Just made a ticket :)

Oh no! I use Apple voice control into Claude and then copy and paste code back and forth between my IDE and Claude mostly. For longer writing,I really like going for a walk for 45 minutes and brain dumping on a topic, and transcribing it. T

(I'm biased as I work for anthropic) I broke my hand 2 months ago and Claude 3.5 sonnet has been writing all my code for me. It's been awesome

Claude 3 has a much less annoying voice, but still gets me the best answer

(full disclosure, I helped work on this) What I was most impressed by was Claude's ability to transcribe code from the screenshots and format it nicely in the blog

(full disclosure, I work at Anthropic) Opus has definitely been writing a lot of my code at work recently :)

ooh, using a NN as a solver / simulator would make pretty much anything differentiable :)

The real question is whether the CFD solver is differentiable! Optimizing the bridge only works because my method for solving the forces in each beam (least squares) happens to be differentiable.

I also don't remember the name, but a game like that in 8th grade or so was one of my first experiences with engineering :)

So the robot swarm can assemble itself into a bridge, love it!

Yeah exactly! I looked around, but couldn't find many other people using it for things besides neural networks though. Any favorite other examples you've seen?

Author here. Yep, obviously this is more commonly done with dedicated optimization libraries, but the fun part was doing it in Pytorch to use autograd and as a way to visualize optimizers etc :)

if you write a script to generate the Espanso scripts I'd love a PR!

Is XLB for Xiao long bao an example of this? Hadn't realized it was a wider system, that's cool!

my main use case was quick slack messages and emails. I haven't found any good dictation systems where the latency of starting / stopping it for really quick messages wasn't too high a barrier. For longer form writing I have

I thought a bit about this... I feel like for me most of my slowdown comes from needing to get timing correct between my right and left hand. When I go too fast I start to get the letters in the wrong order, which isn't as much of a ri

Yeah! I'm going to need to migrate away from autokey soon because it doesn't support Wayland. I'll probably create a few different scripts for generating one list of shortcuts into several possible different utilities

I certainly write outlines first, but when I do sit down to write a full draft I really like to get to something that's "complete" even if it's really bad. Then I can switch into "editing" mode mentally.

yeah, I spent a decent amount of time getting delimiter correct in the Autokey configs that I generate. Fanciest thing I do is special case ".py" :) In general "." is a delimiter, EXCEPT for "py" so that it doe
