I may have posted this same sentiment on the other threads on this topic so please feel free to ignore. I see some confusion as to why anybody would want these devices in the houses whatsoever and would like to offer an answer: Quadriplegia

^This My first memory of surveillance in any kind of large-scale was in the early 1990s, well before Tony Blair. It was when the Met police put up the "Ring of Steel" around the centre of London to stop the volunteers blowing th

I used the ROS a few years ago with Professor Jenkins at Brown University. It was great, I sat in my wheelchair in the UK and flew a drone remotely in the Lab. in Rhode Island using just my head and right index finger. It was great :-) It w

While I agree with the sentiment that it doesn't tell us anything we don't already know from the Snowden era, I really do think we have to keep banging on about the Snowden revelations. They (The revelations) really do need to s

I really hate articles like this, because on the one hand I'm a total privacy nut and believe that the passive of surveillance of modern society has a terrifying and terrible chilling effect that really could end civil society as we kn

You're absolutely right that that does look like it would do the job, but once I start throwing in a computer as well it may start getting a little bit prohibitively expensive as you suggest. Definitely something to keep in mind thoug

This looks like it might be exactly what I'm looking for. I am quadriplegic and use a powered wheelchair, I also live in a small town with narrow roads and can't tell how far away a car is from behind me. I can't use regula

I don't mean this to sound snarky, I really don't so please don't take it as such but yes, it is really hard to turn light switches on and off when you are quadriplegic. This software solves that problem completely. Again,
