There's a happy medium to be found here - balancing ease of use, while avoiding the bug fountain. Having said that, IMHO we should err on the side of avoiding the bug fountain . Make it as simple as possible, but not simpler . Robbin

Last time I checked, those wildcard LetsEncrypt certs take more work to get, like passing a DNS-based TXT record challenge. Then once you have the wildcard certs, they only last 3 months. Once obtained, they can manually be copied into the

I actually run/manage Mattermost Team server (and know/used/administered Unix/Linux for 25+ years), and it's not a fair comparison. BTW: The relatively low RAM usage and speed of Mattermost is underappreciated, IMHO
