An interesting project would be to implement a policy extension, one that would check where container image has the right versions of certain packages and would refuse to start a container with outdate JRE, OpenSSL or anything more recent..

If you are looking to build an extension, make sure to checkout the post by @binocarlos [1], it's just the right level of detail for you know and a full-blow implementation indeed! [1]: http://weaveblog.com/2015/01

Perhaps I have had a wrong impression since I read on Nim quite a while ago last time and should checkout this article now. Thatnks for pointing this out!

I really wouldn't consider it reasonable comparison, when one language has a sufficient compiler that is written in itself for most part, and the other still only compiles to C.

Totally unlikely. They are more likely to deprecate them in favour of Cortex-M's.

Yeah, as said above, checkout zinc.rs. It runs on ARM MCUs though, but AVRs are becoming legacy anyway.

The dueboot project is rather dead, checkout zinc.rs :)

What exactly does "neat and transactional" imply? It would be really great if you could provide some technical details to support that statement. I think it would help the announcement, if there existed at least a few words of wha

So, how come we are talking about it being Nix-like here? I don't seem to find any reference to that... And what exactly does "All neat and transactional." imply?

It's pretty cool indeed what you guys are doing with it, although currently there are not as many MCUs where Duktape fits... The STM32F4 Discovery board that AllJoyn+Duktape targets, is the same one Java Embedded also runs on, IIRC. Fr

Well, not exactly, Espruino is way smaller. However, Duktape is fully-compliant ECMAScript interpreter.

It's funny how in issue #1 users are asking for DTLS. I'm pretty sure this is what's finally going to get implemented and probably will appear in mbed OS soon too. https://github.com/polarssl/polarssl

> Each compile job gets its own short-lived container Just curious, how do handle input and output? Do you prepare a volume with the input and then grab output from there as well, or the program inside the container is fetching input fro

One thing that would require is either run Avahi deamon in each container or embed it in you application somehow.

Today it's becoming harder and harder if users have to make sure that feature X is enabled in kernel version N or even compile and load a module. I do not disagree that your suggestion would benefit the performance.

Weave is not Docker-specific either.

As far as flannel goes, the comparison can be boiled down to that Weave doesn't rely on etcd or anything other to store the sate.

Maxime, amazing work! I haven't looked at the code yet... But very curious how it works for demo/testing on Linux, does it use tun/tap device or something like that?
