That explains why I slept so well when I was locked up (back as a young'n in juvie): You didn't have control of the light in your cell, so from ~10pm to ~7am lights were out whether you liked it or not. I'm a life-long insomniac.

> save as a png (with a background if you don't want to alienate the ie6 crowd). You could also use pngfix, or super sleight, or apply the CSS hack manually to that one element.

Not to mention that chicks dig it. The other way around, it's very sexy if a girl runs her own business.

Would you prefer that they not report on available data? Everyone knows that it's pop journalism, not a government commission report. Arrington is closer to the tech Zeitgeist than he gets credit for on this site.

Very sad news. What exactly happened? I read that it was a "swimming pool accident" on Wikipedia, but none of the sources verified this.

"A survey of 1,000 people by news portal One News Page..." I couldn't even find said news portal's website, and if it exists, it has no established reputation. This drivel does not have a shred of credibility. Flagged

> "However people were afraid of opposing the head of QA because A) she was a lifelong friend of the founder's life" You had a biographer leading QA? Sorry, couldn't resist.

How did you find so many bad jobs (they sound horrendous)? More importantly, why did you take them, let alone keep them?

Don't take this the wrong way, but how would you rate your team's front-end code? And compared to what the other guys turn out? I've rebuilt many a template when the code given to me is in bad shape.

Sure. It certainly will not be a quality product at that price point. And if it costs much more, it will not be competitive. I am anticipating a debacle in which they realize that they can't turn a profit by selling the device for any less

Why is a static site about cross-browser compatibility written in Flash/Flex/whatever voodoo Adobe's pushing now?

I strongly take issue with this approach. Politics are one thing, but as a site somewhat devoted to startups, an article on the economy, vapid or precise, certainly has a place. If people didn't want to read it, they would not vote for it.

I hope I never have to edit layouts coded like this. It would take me back to '99.
