Personally, I use Tubearchivist. There are others though. https://github.com/tubearchivist/tubearchivist

I cannot find where they are for any of those things you mentioned in your comment. They are still campaigning against biometrics, surveillance, Trojans, data retention and electronic voting systems.

I was sponsored by a LIR for RIPE, but RIPE is the entity that gives out the /48 for me specifically. Its still PI space that I can announce with any ISP. I could request a /32, but a /48 is definitely enough for me. Might re

Technically, yes. But good ISPs filter the prefixes their customers can announce to only those they actually own. Then you have shitty providers that dont do it, and thats how you get BGP hijacking. And you cant do this just from any connec

They do act on takedown requests. They forward them to the customer and ask you to deal with it. If you dont, you will be fired as customer.

Would a non-permissible open source license somehow changed this? Not sure what you mean.

You’re quite correct. I tend to forget this point, because, to me, there isn’t much difference.

Does it? You can run the software with AGPL. You simply need to contribute it back to the main project. That’s a marked difference.

Is it? Not really up to date on Windows stuff, but isn’t Microsoft only using UWP for all their (new) stuff? Xbox launcher and all games on it are UWP, aren’t they?

Oh, I use those. But even then it’s sometimes more expensive to buy it on steam than say Uplay or Epic.

Force the move to their UWP platform even more? Only release DirectX 13 with UWP support etc.

Absolutely agree. I was starting to diversify my store fronts before Valve came out with the Deck. But the release of it and the message it sent (that they take this seriously), made me reverse course and now I always buy my games on Steam,

I don’t see how it’s immaterial. Because they are not releasing sources, it’s really hard to install alternative Android distributions on their devices. Last I looked (which was 1-2 years ago), there were no alternative firmware for their d

Thats currently the case, isnt it? All the encryption/decryption happens locally (inside your browser/client). Thats why, if you want to full text search in proton you have to download your complete history into your browser.

Why not have a standing WG connection between your home and external WG server and connect only to the external server? You then route your home traffic through the home wg connection and all other traffic will exit the external server dire

I can see the trend you’re talking about, but the vast majority of games on consoles I can buy, put into my console and play without being online. Some games are obviously always online, some are just straight broken without patches, but th

I don’t know how it is in the US, but where I live no employer allows you to use your private pc for work. I agree with your first point. However a plus on the console side is that I can actually still own my games instead of licensing them
