Something I've been wondering is would you recommend using the open source Parse server for new code or is it more targeted towards projects that were already using the Parse API?

SoundCloud is full of fake accounts. I get a couple of new followers every now and then and it feels like 95% of them have mentions of "buy followers". I always report spam bots whenever I spot them on SoundCloud, Tinder, Facebook

The Wikipedia article above says that though uncommon in usage, the buffalo verbs in that sentence mean "to bully, harass, or intimidate" or "to baffle".

I would not have been able to tell which buffalos were verbs, which were nouns and which were proper nouns without the rephrasing of the sentence on Wikipedia. In fact even with that rephrasing I still find it difficult to tell which buffal

Probably not. HN only allows editing comments for a limited amount of time. In one post I found from a couple of years back, someone said that the edit window is two hours. I think perhaps also that as soon as someone has replied to a comme

I had not heard of sg(1) before. The sg(1) manpage on Linux says: >The sg command works similar to newgrp but accepts a command. The command will be executed with the /bin/sh shell. With most shells you may run sg from, you nee

I don't understand why this comment in particular was downvoted. It's referring to the character Atticus Finch in the book To Kill a Mockingbird. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_Kill_a_Mockingbird

I had never heard of PIX so I didn't know what it was. I suggest changing the title from: "Introducing PIX on Windows (beta)" to: "Introducing gamedev performance tuning and debugging tool PIX on Windows (beta)"

I tested in a clean VM running OpenBSD 6.0, worked fine for me, see my sibling comment at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13428005 for what I did step by step.
