I'm always surprised when I see another Western European religious movement that is so similar to Zen. Why do we look so far for solutions if we have some in our own history? But one thing I feel is lacking in most western movements: T

I see, thanks for the info. Comma setting in English is rather unexpected for me. It works different in German, but I'll try to adapt. Maybe in English you would also say "end-to-end encryption" rather than "end to end e

I think for the psychological development of a software developer it is very important to also spend some time in an Enterprise company. After 1-2 years of that you know exactly how such kind of software comes to be. In my team we are curre

You know that Skype is still the better cousin? Some of us have to use Skype4Business (previously Lync) at work. After you do that you get a boner at how good the consumer Skype is in comparison. E.g. in consumer Skype if you send a message

Sorry, can't provide more details. My relationship to these kind of games is Ruby Tuesday like, come, have a little fun, go. But usually it's just a few weeks until the next friend suggests such a game. I incorrectly assumed that

The article is about a guy who played a ridiculous amount of a game that most people wouldn't. And that is what the commenter (not me) considered a weird hobby. Playing the same game over and over. And I thought that was quite simple t

Interesting thought. Yes, to some degree if you play a 150 different games for 10 hours each it actually produces the same amount of community value (zero) and may relax you just as much.

I'm not sure I would pay for such a game. There are similar depth but more beautiful games for free.

Honestly, I'm always a little jealous at people who possess that amount of persistence at something. It would probably get boring for me after hole 23.

I haven't succeeded in that area yet. But here's what I would do: I'd get a job for about 20h/week as a developer because I like developing. I'd charge a rather low pay and make sure already in the interview that th

I really love articles like "are people who <do something totally ridiculous> screwd?" This gives the impression for these people that they are doing something totally normal, and that it is the world screwing them. You neve

This is not consistent with what I'm seeing. Monday before 2 pm nothing happens. Between Monday 2 pm and 5 pm suddenly everybody wants to get 2 days of work done and fails. And tuesday normal, regular, productive work starts, and conti

If Washington=Government probably 99.9% can be replaced easily. Maybe even more easily than most factory jobs. The idea that their jobs would be more complex is an illusion. The only stressful thing they do is fighting each other for more p

Right. Shorting is also an option. Haven't thought about it. It would also be insider trading, though, and it's not in the news that someone shorted Intel stock big time.

Insider trading happens all the time. But usually you don't read about it in the news. So that the Intel CEO's insider trading got him in trouble shows there's someone fighting against him. Thus, no that's not the full s

Reading between the lines would be figuring out who at or around Intel profits from this chaos. There is certainly someone, but since everybody is just focussed on the technical issues, whoever it is will probably throw a party this weekend

This may be a proper way when being a CEO but also not a good stock trading advise. Try to make any money even without insider knowledge following such a process.

Do we already have hints who's doing a power play here? I mean even the leak was a surprise to companies like Google as I see it. Is there someone who wants to become CEO at Intel or a bigger company that wants to become a majority sta
