I reviewed my email exchange with them (I am an email hoarder I guess) and it isn't as bad as I made it sound. I added my email to my HN profile, feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to provide you a copy of the email exchange.

I also should have said in my top level comment, other content on the site was absolute gold and helped me a ton, particularly the system design info. I appreciated the site as a whole during my job search.

I replied to your other comment but I think this your point at the end is my biggest learning from the process. Small(ish) companies don't have the luxury of significant swings in their budget. I think I assumed there would be some fle

I did not use your service, and that might have made a difference. I don't blame you at all, I just wanted to share my experience. Here are some relevant details: During the interview process the company told me their budget for the po

I was really excited about the salary negotiation advice on interviewing.io, but it totally blew up in my face when I tried it for my last job offer. According to them this is a red flag of the business, but I'm not convinced their tec

Feels weird to say Svelte is not JavaScript because of an unexpected behavior when passing a closure as a callback. I think a better title would be "I dislike Svelte 5 because it surprised me."

What a strange non sequitur, for what reasons do you believe learning assembly is worthwhile and how does it relate to this discussion about Elm? Also the food analogy does not make sense to me.

The generated maze is pretty easy, but I think this project succeeds at being fun, whimsical, visually appealing, mobile-friendly, and (seemingly) fully functional. Nice work.

But is torrenting better than buying music e.g. through bandcamp or directly from the artist's label? I do a combination of streaming for exploratory listening and buying to support artists. And live shows when I can. I'm not tryi

The comment I was responding to certainly seemed to be advocating uninhibited free access via torrents, but your point is reasonable. I don't think streaming is a great way to support artists either, though I do think it's better

I only knew React until my current job, which uses Vue. I'd strongly recommend trying a framework other than React for your next project. After you're past the learning curve, it's much more intuitive.

I'm not clear how Trump's assurances mean much in the face of a law passed by Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court. I guess we're already in an autocracy controlled by a person not even formally in power yet?

I recently read a piece of local news on housing policies (Austin, TX) and the journalist made the observation that affordable housing is inevitably tied to reducing property values, which is a major source of wealth for older generations.

This isn't a bad reply but it's fairly off topic in my opinion. I think the majority of reviews on my PR are effectively rubber stamps, but sometimes it takes many business days to get that rubber stamp unless I bug people.
