I've never tried setting something like that up but Bootstrap itself is extremely modular and you can be selective about what you want bundled with it, so that's probably a more effective starting place: https://getboot

Your other points are great low-hanging fruit performance-wise, but replacing bootstrap in a site that has been fully designed around it goes well beyond "very little effort."

I'm a bit confused; the linked article talks about TSMC's profits and makes no mention of the chip shortage or any predictions related to it. Am I missing something?

GPL, especially GPLv3, have always been contentious. There was also very recently a high-profile issue involving it and a ruby gem used by Rails that caused a lot of headaches for a lot of people, so it's top of mind for many.

Super interesting, thanks for taking the time to chime in! I hadn't thought about the capacitance aspect. Was noise not as much of an issue as I've been led to believe?

No worries, I appreciate the responses, knowing it's a digipot has satisfied most of my curiosity! :)

Did you run into noise issues? I actually haven't tried a digipot in a signal path (they do work great for other controls like LFOs and the delay time on a PT2399), but everything I've read online has told me to avoid it. I'm

I have so many questions as to how they're handling controlling knob changes! From the pictures it looks like they've yanked the pots out and hooked the boards up to their rig, which raises more questions. This is something I'

Keep in mind the threshold is much lower when playing an instrument is involved. For electric guitar, for example, I've found anything above 13ms is perceptible and makes playing in time more difficult. This paper dives further into it

I've never used them or seen them used for large-scale production sites but I reach for them all the time when building out small proof of concept or isolated examples for debugging in places like Codepen. It's handy to have a few

Listening back to mixes over a car stereo system is a pretty common practice, but that's more for making sure a mix translates to common listening scenarios and less to do with road noise.

I agree, once again my original comment is in response to a comment on here that I'm replying to and not the linked article. I myself would find a lot of utility in a site that compares all the different approaches.

This is more commentary on the "the best React state management setup for you is..." comment above than the site itself. I fundamentally take issue with there being a "best" solution for state management, especially targ

I've found this works so much better than reaching for state management libraries off the bat. Most of the time it's overkill and the complex state transforms really only affect a few parts of the application, in which case useCon

Where's that quote from? The article points out they make no mention of any Belize presence, and LACNIC spent several months investigating the tip, which happened in November. That hardly seems reactionary.

It seems pretty cut and dry; DDoS-Guard would need a physical presence there to operate, they didn't, so the IPs were revoked. The phone call was simply a tip to investigate.

This confuses me; the core of HTML is relatively unchanged since its inception and static HTML is fairly secure. PDF is notoriously complex and has had many security issues associated with it as a result. Regardless, if it's content yo

Maybe some codebases mandate it, but it's very common to use either style when it makes the most sense. The classic syntax is by no means deprecated or superseded by async/await.

I love the idea of a "staging area"! That's a very smart and maps 1:1 with the behavior on most loopers I've used. Anything else would require nearly unbounded memory, and memory is easily the most expensive component of

I guess it's a stack in the sense that each additional loop is being pushed onto a stack of sorts. This is how the Ditto looper I use works, and you can even perform the "pop" operation and back out of an additional layer. I&
