To give an opposing data point, I think that the conventional interview style is working well in some places. I'll discuss Microsoft, where I interviewed last fall for an internship. There were a total of 4 interviews from various peop

We could do better even with just static routing. Many of our landing and takeoff plans optimize for unimportant factors like minor wind differences landing. Landings at my local airport take a 10 minute détour in the air to achieve this.

This is why missiles don't use GPS. (at least U.S. ones as far as I know) They use a highly precise inertial measurement unit to track their location since launch.

Yes! Microsoft's business conduct training was a fantastic drama miniseries. 10/10 would watch again.

The figure is showing percent of all bugs, not percent of resolved bugs. Likely the rest of the 100% is unresolved bugs. The confusion on the second point hinges in "most likely". You're likely interpreting that as the expect

This is a poor attempt at blogspam. Article complains about hosting being challenging and cites raw compute providers. Plenty of companies (Heroku, App Engine, Elastic Beanstalk, for example) offer easy, templatized hosting with effortless

My vehicle (a Honda civic) exhibits this exact same functionality and behavior. (lane keeping, ACC, emergency braking for cars) They make it very clear the limitations of these systems. I'd say that in the 5 months I've owned it i

You clearly have never been to Pittsburgh. There is simply no room at some intersections for a left turn lane, and a left turn signal would needlessly block traffic going the other way even when nobody wants to turn left.

In my experience (at a large institution) these phishing tests haven't flagged a user until personal info was actually entered, or some other vulnerable action was taken. Seems like there would be so many false positives otherwise.

Thanks for the cool project! On a side note, working on this made me realize that case-insensitive comparison in Go is pretty inefficient, made a CL to improve it: https://go-review.googlesource.com/c/go/+/110

Made a PR to switch to runes for iteration. Runes are canonical in Go for unicode codepoints and also have no memory allocation, so they're wicked fast! More importantly they make the code compatible with unicode names. You can also sa
