Could this be an invitation for researchers to find a backdoor the NSA required Apple to put in there? Or are they just utilizing the crowd to help secure against NSA attacks?

This is a very comprehensive list, thanks for putting it together. However, a lot of these strike me as things that an engineer normally wouldn't have access to (unit economics, etc). What would be your recommendation to folks who don&

Does anyone know what SpaceX's target cost per launch is compared to these guys (4.9M)? Also, I'd never heard of Rocketlab before but it turns out that they're back by Khosla Ventures. Pretty cool.

Definitely, if you're building something with complex UI requirements (aka "interesting" :) hybrid apps probably aren't the right choice. However, most apps typically don't fall into that category - so if you know a

I think the other comment thread on this post ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9070906 ) addresses your points here. Not that you're wrong, but just that the experience for the user is identical in most cases.

When we built Songhop (an Ionic powered app) and tested on 4S, the app performance was the same as other apps on the phone. Unless the phone isn't updated to the latest OS version, performance in webview will generally be similar to na

Author of the course here: to users, the performance difference is not noticeable. If you look under the hood, sure, there are absolutely inefficiencies that happen. But a vast majority of the time it has no effect on the user experience, a

What about dynamic routes, like user profiles? Also, the ease of just letting you guys automatically take care of it would be ideal (especially if I was paying for the service.)

Totally. It would be cool if IFTTT started getting banks & credit cards on board, that way it "just works" and you don't have to write custom software to export your transactions.

I was just thinking of building something like this. If you could give me a few tags for each reporter on what they usually write about, that would be amazing, as I don't want to pitch a social media startup to a clean tech reporter.

How long does it take to resolve a namecoin key=>value pair? Considering the variable speed in these sorts of decentralized networks, is there a noticeable lag when you initially request a .bit website?
