Maybe because the lefts big issues are very "all or none". In 2021 if you said "I support trans rights in every area except trans women competing in women's sports" that would make you alt-right. You either complete

There almost is no hook, the hook is that the time investment for each video is so small your brain doesn't even need to think about whether it should watch or not.

I am really looking forward to that idea catching up with AI. Right now AI is the thing and the products it enables are secondary. Remember when our job was to hide the ugly techniques we had to use from end users?

It was only 3 months so I didn't put anything. In the past I took a 18 month break and played around with leaving it blank or putting side projects. It definitely doesn't help but it wasn't a killer either.

Ah I was seeing a parallel between: 1. Our post WW2 neocolonial activity and the current admins push to sort of blatantly get control over Venezuela and Greenland. 2. Our WW2 manufacturing and export based economy that made us wealthy. Is s

I feel like many are going to upvote this because they think it is an indictment on the current administration but it isn't exactly.

I had a really nice job hunt this time around because: - I quit my job to work on a side project in a specific space (voice AI for me). - Spent three months shipping a few things and sinking into the area. - Apply to jobs in that space, cus

Naww.... people have always taken the easy path and put off confronting difficult feelings and emotions. The vast majority of humanity will 100% spend hours a day swiping through computer generated content in the future. Whats the differenc

People just need to have like a barebones understanding of: computer hardware level, OS level, browser level and how permissions work between the three. If you have that you will never get scared by a popup in Chrome.

Crypto & AI can both be linked to part of a broader trend though, that we need processors capable of running compute on massive sets of data quickly. I don't think that will ever go down, whether some new tech emerges or we just co

Influencers as the future of culture is not great. Hollywood had a ton of issues but it at least had some... class? If you watch an interview with Mr. Beast or other famous influencers they are concerningly ignorant, have little self-awaren

It is really easy to have a routine when you are single and healthy in your 20s. It stops working so well later on. If you have friends, partner, kids, parents, pets, work, health issues etc. the routine is going to be challenged. If that o

Agree in general, it would be awesome for AI/LLM/whatever to act as an interface between devs and a highly efficient machine only coding language. All the abstractions we have built to make coding easier could be done away with. N
