Blockchain itself solves trust problems. Decentralized database/ledger solves issues where trust matters. As for bitcoin itself, which I assume the latter part of your comment is talking about: It’s predictable trustless money. It’s no

I'll never understand the bitter hatred toward blockchain at hackernews. Are you guys just mad you knew about bitcoin when it first started but didn't get any? You can't possibly truly believe blockchain solves zero problems

You’re making big assumptions here. You assume I want to post shithead things. I’m actually afraid to simply speculate about the world in general. Countless people are being trained to think a certain way and take offense to free thinking.

There is functional value to NFT’s. Think beyond JPEG NFT’s. If you’re a software engineer, consider building a decentralized system with unique instances of a model. Unique tokens make a lot of sense to me and certainly there is utility to

But in theory, a decentralized framework consisting of smart contracts and NFT’s could work. In such a framework, the NFT would be providing real utility (unlike scammy JPEG NFT’s)

NFT bag holders may actually believe what they’re saying in which case they aren’t scamming. I think to scam you must be operating under nefarious intentions.
