It's too bad this is the case. My experience with the medical professionals in my area isn't particularly positive. Many of them just look up symptoms on some kind of medical Google and regurgitate what the screen says. I had RS

That consulting arm of Elastic needs something to do :) More charitably, I can understand why they felt the need to make a hard break, but difficult upgrades plus fast release cycle means a fair bit of friction. The no downtime upgrades wil

The new sequence IDs are the most interesting things in this release I think. Having an officially supported cross datacenter replication strategy would be real nice. Lots of folks will be mad, but removing multiple mapping types is a nice

The financial crisis delayed the usual process of marriage, having children, and house buying for millenials. Instead of doing it in their mid/late 20's, they held off until late 20's/early 30s. Everyone likes to be you

Angular 2 will not help your team deliver valuable web experiences to customers any more quickly or reliably than Angular 1. Probably almost certainly the opposite. I'd argue most teams, if they're willing to go all-in on an SPA

I agree with the author of the article to an extent - there's lots of things about Uncle Bob's advice I don't care for. But... I agree with Uncle Bob's take that discipline is lacking in software development today. It&

I'm surprised to see adjunct's make so little. When I was in school the full-time professor's salaries were public (since it was a public university). They were all making over 100k/year, and this was some time ago. M

Yep, basic consumer staple price inflation is something I never see addressed with any satisfaction when people are talking about UBI. Housing prices and rent will assuredly rise proportionally to the basic income amount if this were to be

I dunno, I'd rather use "vanilla" React/Redux/JSX than try and get those tools to fit with custom elements, shadow DOM and the html import/template stuff. The web components specs look poorly thought out to me.

I do not believe Web Components will stop framework churn. The big problem I have with web components is that they aren't very useful. Everyone seems to think the component is the key to victory with modern web applications. It'

I see this argument a lot but I don't think it's necessarily a good one. If a third party CDN goes down, your site is down. A few extra ms in initial download isn't so bad compared to having your site be completely inaccessi
