Agile is a collection of tools. Like any tools, if you use them wrong, they can hurt you. A paint brush is also a tool and one might be inclined to call a paint brush a sham when it fails to make them a great artist. Others might already be

Asking if the tests are correct is really asking if the requirements are correct. If this happens a lot it means developers are writing code before they really understand the requirements. If developers have to re-write behavioral level tes

I think it's the addition of new information/technology without reflecting on and simplifying existing information/technology which is leading to this problem of information overload.

Technical debt isn't something you "understand". It is a pain that you feel. A knife that managers happily sharpen without knowing. It is unfortunate that with so many tools and best known practices available today that developers still cre

I agree that learning from mistakes is really important. I also think that memorizing and rote learning are a detriment to being fast at learning. You can't "get it" if you are memorizing. If you have a firm grasp of something then you unde

It is a bad idea to use anything entered by a user as the primary key. It is ok to use data entered by users to assure the uniqueness of a record (unique indexes/constraints).

I find the idea of "testing" funny in that it admits we are going to fail before we even try. It's like going into a game and saying "Ok, we aren't going to win, but let's make sure our score is at least 80% of the final score". I am no way
