Yeah - well you can find multiple videos on YT that show you how it helps to position your ship against an enemy that tries to get on your tail using all the vectors that are not possible for planes :-)

I already updated my machine with the latest version. I think there is nothing better out there for users that use not only git but mercurial or legacy systems like svn.

My main problem is that ubuntu is not as reliable as it was few years before as a desktop distribution. I still use it but it has bugs, I would so love for them to just stick to gnome and focus efforts on that :(

For Elite dangerous multi monitor is not enough. You need vertical visibility too for dogfights - gives serious advantage over monitor only players.

I have serious doubts if the "one codebase" is really the best way to go - especially with javascript.

A nice article but neither. The future of the web are webcomponents. So today react/vue - after all they are component frameworks, but tommorow Polymer/Angular2 (or other native web component library) which already has most of its

whats the problem with using bower (apart being "legacy"), it suddenly stopped working? Not all packages are on npm, i use mix of npm and bower without issues. When the JS community comes up with better npm will people stop using

Then you should look at Polymer. It is just DOM nodes (custom elements_, you can however compose complex applications with it without any trouble. I feel its very straightforward way to build applications and most parts of it are handled

No as far as I can tell this is not possible - because web components with shadow dom do not leak implementation details. For example you have <video> tag - it has its own internal controls that are not part of the markup - same with

You can also look at RhodeCode CE - supports git/mercurial/svn and has a really nice installer you can use to keep things up to date.

I like trackpad on my Dell better than on my mbpro. But i think it is matter of personal preference. I like the friction it gives. But keyboard on my dell is leagues ahead of mbp hands down.

Look into polymer, its like vue (vue was inspired by it a lot), and it is really small in size (polyfills IF needed weigh only 20kb). And everything is a component - imo this is what Angular 2.x should have been. You just use pure javascrip

Just take information there with a grain of salt. The what to expect in 2017 section says that web components will never gain traction where in fact one of the biggest enterprises in their industries adopted them already: Github, Slack, Com

Well, people use them with angular 1/2 and aurelia so im quite sure it should work with vue/react. I did bundle my components into single file - even throwing in sass compilation so I think the problem is elsewhere ;-)

Weird, vaadin made a compat layer for polymer/angular and it works well. I would expect vuejs would also work reasonably well with proper compat. shim, there is one for vue 1.x.

Interesting - the benchmarks prove otherwise - it is as fast as other new solutions. So i think you never actually used it in production at any scale. If angular 1.5 was OK for thousands of devs over recent years then Polymer that is compar

Polymer elements are "normal" elements so yeah you should be able to do so unless vue does something weird. https://github.com/vuejs/vue-element - this might give some hints.

I would suggest Polymer. Web Standards based - has comprehensive library of elements and polymer itself is a tiny library. I've had very good experience with it - if you know html/JS you will feel at home. As for being "featu
