The French project would be even worse for us French coders. Symbols used for code would be hidden behind several layers like altgr combinations. While, imo, archaic symbols (ÇÀÉÈàçê, etc) would be on the first layer. I'm planning on d

I'd like to see another big player in the os market. Something really new, not based on UNIX (don't get me wrong people...). Just for the sake of diversity. And maybe the illusory desire of a clean slate.

Immediatly what went through my head: "Maybe Facebook has planned this like a chess game, and planned several moves ahead even before their first move." I wonder how many moves they have in advance.

But careful not to push too much your facebook argument: > Would you like to live without fire? More humans lived without it than with it after all. I reframed the context too much, it became bad. There's a fundamental problem with

In Paris, I used to leave my bag on the street in front of my high school whole days. It was just leaning on the front door, for hours. That was before. Now I guess someone would call a bomb disposal team and cut the traffic 3 blocks around

That quote is beautiful but it reminds me a lot of tales of hubris, although I do not believe in any god(s), I always felt some truth in that mythical sin. Can we grow designed software? Or, can we design truly growing software? I guess it

It reminds me of the recent Google/Oracle trial, where both parties got rid of all computer literate persons in the jury. "Peers" in that case, maybe should have meant "people able to understand the technicalities",

For me at least, it still lacks this 'perceived' reactiveness, that millisecond of delay that I don't have with Sublime or vim. I don't know if it's placebo but I have got to use what _feels_ right to me.

I suppose there are limits to Electron launch time ? VS Code and Atom both launch a 'full' browser and server, html, css, js and the whole shebang to make all of that work; while Sublime is compiled C++ (with a python API).
