Agree completely other than the functional bit (but I'm not sure if that was a recommendation or just Google keyword help). At least for Android, I've found that maintaining state when handling screen rotations etc becomes a real

So nice to see this universal issue being discussed, it doesn't seem to get as much attention as it deserves. IMO, a great solution here is along the lines of "Lift the state up" / "MV(X)". But... there is a vi

Well... just because a developer claims to be a senior engineer (with only 2 years experience) it doesn't actually make them a senior engineer, it makes them a bullsh*ter :D

Back when I actually had some crypto, I considered Monero / Zcash / Dash more risky, precisely _because_ they were so focussed on anonymity. Bitcoin's ledger is a dream come true for financial investigators and tax collectors

Well as far as we know, no one succeeded ;) if I was the IRS, the last thing I would do is tell everyone we could now deanonymize Monero. (I'm mostly kidding, I don't think anyone can deanonymize Monero)

I think a team of 1 developer is going to result in some not-too-bad code eventually (as long as the project is small and that developer is diligent and cares about the project). But a team bigger than 3 developers where no one has any soli

I really agree with this. Junior developers just can't write clear, simple code. They accidentally over-complicate everything, in the most unhelpful way possible. If you have a senior developer that does that, I would consider them a m

Sure, and fake Tesla just happens to be bricked while it's driving in the fast lane of a motorway, or is accidentally bricked because a bug triggered the kill switch. Think about that for a moment.

This made me chuckle, all power to you! How many of us would work in our current role if money were genuinely no object - in reality there are far more rewarding things to be doing with our limited time on this planet.

Is it that people love remote working, or that they hate commuting? I would prefer a 20 min commute on a clean train, to a nice office than remote working (and I did have that on an Amsterdam based contract). But an hour plus drive to an in
