I'd love to share this between computers (cross-platform) like I do my notes via IMAP. Is there an underlying file I can sync with?

I'm thinking of a number, but I'm definitely not going to tell you it now. It's all mine.

Yep good points. So they send it from some variant of my name like "promising-eric@amazon.co.jp" (feels similar to using the same area code for a spam call). There's no explicit reply-to. Based on the translations it's o

Yeah I've no clue. My current guess is deep packet inspection going awry with CenturyLink given it happened with multiple resolvers.

Ah okay that makes sense, thanks! It may help to make that note near the final java example.

Maybe I'm missing something but why doesn't the Java section right before the Lua section not work? It looks like normal procedural code that can just keep running. The lua version is just one coroutine and it's not yielding

I can't wait for the positive feedback loop of statically trained LLMs being retrained on data that was generated from the N-1th generation of statically trained LLMs. There's so much of talk about what these models can generate,

How have people been thinking about licensing and attribution when it comes to using AI code assistance tools like this? In my personal work, I'm avoiding it since being trained on "publicly available code from GitHub" feels

If you think about it, it's likely that much of the code Copilot is trained on comes from stackoverflow Q/A that made its way into open source GtiHub projects

I feel like the latest Docker Desktop on Ventura works quite well in both amd64 and arm64 containers. This might be with the experimental VM settings on as well as the Rosetta x64 in containers support. As much as I don't love Docker D

Sorry I should have been more specific. I care less about the actual song content itself than having a synchronized list of the names (i.e. metadata) of all the songs I like/save/listen to.

Unrelated but, does anyone have a good universal solution of what music you "like" or "own"? I want to move off of Spotify but I want to make sure all my music is playable from some platform or locally. A decade ago I mo

Ultimately just the fact that we can't use standard browser dev tools to introspect requests. There are some plugins but they have not worked reliably for me.

For my current job, I speced out what was needed for an RPC solution. I ended up basically coming up with what JSON-RPC provides but was missing a few things. 1. Binary support for non-web clients 2. Robust code generation 3. First-class ca

I also believe that writing is better than typing for information. What's more though is that I think AI coding solutions could worsen our retention of information when it comes to coding.

Is there any nice tooling / static analysis for golang that instruments the builds the process to add all the gcflags with verbose output and give you hints as to what can be optimized?
