So your argument is that private companies should be forced to amplify a person's speech? The genius of the first amendment is that yes you can spout whatever vile garbage you want but no one is forced to listen to you. It is also a fo

This is very annoying when I am trying to call someone back that requested me to call them. You specifically asked me to call and now I have to talk to a robot first.

I help run a ftth isp and we won't let you use your own modem either. I will gladly give you a passthrough port to use your own router though.

I live in a rural area and I don't actually know anyone that uses twitter except me. My wife's facebook on the other hand is a dumpster fire. Religion, racism, politics all day long with various ads for crappy little boutique stor

Even if you do, does it actually change that much? You cant actually stop the os on mobile from using its default browser for most of it's tasks. Firefox on iOS is basically a reskin of safari if I am reading it correctly.

We hired a great person to help take care of a loved one during the day but it was complete luck that that person was available. It was still awful and if he had become any harder to take care of, we would have had to put him in a nursing h

That is not universally true. We just started a new ISP and built fiber to 1300 customers. It took government grants to make it possible but it is happening throughout the country. Local electric co-ops are building fiber at breakneck pace.

We run our cows entirely on grass and hay throughout their time on our farm. Typically we sell calves at 700lbs. Then they may go to feedlots and taste corn for the first time.

It seems to be the opposite at my house, not that I can do any actual numbers. We have more deer, tons of squirrels that we never saw growing up. Turkeys that didn't even exist in the state. Flocks of geese that land in fields like nev

Is 'logged in' a useful metric? You authenticated months or years ago and now every facebook widget on the internet counts as a 'logged in' event just because a cookie still exists?

Gently used at 100k seems like a strong ask. I commute two hours a day and get around ~20k miles a year. The car would be five years old at the point of 100k. Quicker than that and the person that owned it drove the crap out of it. Plastic

I agree with this. The failure to contain the spread is the problem and the government wasting all this time means we could have had much better containment by now.

Me too but that would be back to almost normal very quickly if the spread of the virus stopped. The hard work of stopping the spread is taking too long and is wasting the pain that we are causing.

The used car market has been inflated for years. 100k+ mile vehicles selling for over half their new price makes no sense to me.
