Are you talking about converting people from Reddit to Voten? Maybe the point is that they want more people to actively contribute rather than just lurk? It could just be a different opinion on what a Reddit alternative could look like.

To be fair, "logging in" is just making a username and password. No Email is required. That's really not a huge deal to me, but maybe others disagree.

I believe the condition was looked at on autopsy, as the coroner gave said report. My problem with this, is that even if you do an autopsy, lots of arrhythmias are not "visible", as they are conduction problems. So what's to

The diabetic retinopathy study (and the somewhat recent stanford dermatology study) were the first ML studies I had read about that blew me away in terms of their sensitivities and specificities, as compared to real doctors. Your comment on

Yeah, you may get more specifically looking for the journey or process, but you lose the other 90% of funders, as they soon realize that few kickstarters actually pan out.

As far as I'm aware, no bipolar patient should be on narcotics. Standard of care is mood stabilizer plus atypical antipsychotic.

Until you just referred to them as AJ, I had no idea that they were the same as Al Jazeera. I saw videos on YouTube by AJ and just figured they were some other entity.

One thing I'm curious about: do liquid diet like Soylent change the brush border in our intestines in an appreciable way? If I went completely soylent for a few months, and then tried to eat something more...raw, would there be any cha

I too have used soylent for breakfast, for maybe the last 4 or 5 months. And funnily enough, I've gained more weight! Which was the goal for me, as I'm a little underweight and needed to stop skipping breakfast. I've been usi

There's another article floating around announcing other devices as low as $190 running Windows 10 S that will probably actually compete with Chromebooks.

Okay, so I'll admit that about halfway through writing out some rebuttals to what you were saying, I realized that you made some really good points. I clearly missed a lot of these on my brief skim of the article, and I think I underst

So how granular can the price be? Say you need stents for your coronary artery disease. Do you price at the number of stents? The number of catheters used? Just a flat rate for a procedure, regardless of the complexity?

I respectfully disagree with you on Wikipedia's article on sex assignment. To me, it covers the issue in detail, going over the mental health aspects that have persisted. Additionally, it explicitly notes that the surgeries if done in

Couldn't you have gone above the editor? Like a moderator, or an administrator, regarding the edit? Not saying that what happened to you is fine, but if it does happen then you have to go further.

It also has to do with culture freeze. When people leave their country of origin, they try and retain the culture they left with, and fail to change with the country over decades. It's a type of coping mechanism for when they enter an

A more elegant solution in my mind, barring price fixing, would just be price transparency. Let people see the costs and use their own judgement to pick what they value more.
